About the Role:
We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Support Engineer to provide technical support, administration, and guidance across Microsoft 365 environments. This is a mid-level role focusing on Exchange Online, Outlook, and core Microsoft 365 services.
Candidates with advanced Microsoft Defender expertise may be considered for a senior/Level 3 support role. This is a 100% remote position based in India, ideal for professionals passionate about Microsoft cloud technologies and delivering high-quality support to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 support for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Administer Exchange Online: mailboxes, mail flow, permissions, and security settings
- Troubleshoot Outlook issues across desktop, web, and mobile platforms
- Assist clients with provisioning, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft 365 services
- Support internal IT teams and client projects to ensure effective utilization of Microsoft cloud products
- Monitor, document, and resolve incidents, maintaining high-quality records and knowledge base articles
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or Microsoft Support as needed
- Adhere to Microsoft-recommended security practices and configuration standards
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in Microsoft 365 support, system administration, or cloud engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Online administration
- Strong expertise in Outlook troubleshooting
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple support tickets efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Intune (device enrollment, compliance policies, app management)
- Experience with Microsoft Defender (Defender for Office 365 or Defender for Endpoint) – candidates with advanced Defender skills may be considered for senior/Level 3 support
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, identity, and access management
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, MD-102, Security Operations Analyst)
