About the Role:
We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Security Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Defender Attack Surface Reduction (ASR). This is a remote position based in India, ideal for professionals passionate about endpoint security and cloud-based threat protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Defender ASR rules and policies.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents across Microsoft 365 environments.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance threat detection and response.
• Maintain documentation for security configurations and operational procedures.
• Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Support integration with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Office 365.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft 365 security engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender ASR and endpoint protection.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 security tools including Intune, Conditional Access, and Defender for Office 365.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
• Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate or equivalent.
• Experience in global or distributed team environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
