As a Data Engineer you will design and build cutting edge functionality that meets evolving requirements and improves our Data Warehousing and Integrations platforms. Your work will contribute to the creation of a robust and efficient data pipeline, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely data availability for analysis and decision-making.
We are looking for a Data Engineer that requires minimal guidance; to design, develop, and deliver data solutions on various tools, including but not limited to SSIS, CData, and Informatica. You will have an active hands-on role working closely with our internal clients & internal teams to deliver solutions that best leverage the data strategy while pairing them with the needs of to catapult us to the next level. This position requires a focus on writing reliable code and scripts and a strong understanding of the project lifecycle and software development lifecycle. You must be a self-motivated individual and take pride in delivering high quality work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Developer, you’ll be expected to grow and develop Data capabilities.
Core Responsibilities Include:
·Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL processes for acquiring, cleaning, and transforming large volumes of data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the seamless flow of data across systems.
·Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
·Conduct regular testing and performance tuning of ETL processes to optimize data processing times.
·Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.
·Collaborate with the IT team to integrate data systems and streamline data flow across the organization.
·Document the data architecture, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain a comprehensive reference for the team.
·Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering.
·Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization of data infrastructure.
To be successful in this role you should understand:
Proficient in database design, SQL, and data modeling.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Informatica).
Familiarity with data technologies and distributed computing.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
